As part of the development of its exterior space, urbanspec provided bespoke H-Series Bike Hubs for this large renovation project. Specified by Weedon Architects collaborating with Henry Boot Construction, they feature a mix of timber panel cladding and Z-Panel V-Mesh security finishes. It’s one of the most configurable design platforms for outdoor storage in the world, with over 120 pre-engineered build layouts.

Situated just an eight minute walk from York City Centre, The Cocoa Works boasts an exciting mix of historic features and contemporary design. Originally built in the early 1890s by Joseph Rowntree, the site is of great historical significance to York. Housing the famous Rowntree confectionery factory, it was not just a place of work but also included a gym, school rooms and a lecture hall. Carefully renovated into 279 homes with landscaped gardens and communal spaces, new life is being breathed into this heritage building.
