Oval Quarter is an award winning development of nearly 1000 new and refurbished homes in Lambeth. PRP Architect’s masterplan has created a dynamic and desirable new urban village with community facilities including a new function hall, café and crèche, and has fulfilled its aims to substantially enhance the ecology of the area with a new central park as part of the exciting new public realm.

The twenty urbanspec bike storage units from Streetspace have provided no less than 278m2 of greenroof, a significant contribution to the biodiversity aims of the project.

“With biodiversity being high on the agenda of the Myatt’s Field North project as well as being integral to the Code for Sustainable Homes requirements, we required innovative ways of introducing biodiversity into the residential areas. It was then that the urbanspec cycle units with the greenroof option was chosen to not only provide green roofs to the cycle stores, but to ensure they integrated attractively into the environmental fabric of the area.”
