Home to established DIY and hardware brands like Halfords, Screwfix and Topps Tiles, Cathedral Hill is an industrial estate situated in Guildford, Surrey, that is currently part of a comprehensive refurbishment scheme, providing modern accommodation, enhanced cladding and external spaces. The scheme will also transform the site into a carbon neutral development.

Construction for the redevelopment has been led by HBS Construct, on behalf of Savills Investment Management.

As part of the scheme, Cathedral Hill will house on-site bike parking and bin stores, with metroSTOR providing an external works package that could meet these requirements. Provided in the package were 12no. Bike-S Modules, in addition to 12no. urbanspec P-Series Bin Stores for 3no. 770L – 1280L 4-wheeled bins.

The Bike-S Locker Type Modules provide on-site staff and visitors with 4 individually lockable compartments, enabling an effective means of secure bike parking on the scheme, with access enabled via twin separately locking doors at the front and back of the locker. In total, Bike-S Modules will provide space for the secure storage of 40 bikes on the Cathedral Hill Estate.

Firenze Anthracite Grey external cladding was specified for all units in order to tie-in with project design requirements, with Bike-S Modules specified with Firenze Nordic Night Black Cycle Parking Signage to contribute towards a coordinated design approach. The locker module framework, doors and cycle racks utilise a HD galvanised coating, ensuring long lifespan in demanding urban environments.
